Why do people think that Mary is the mother of God. God doesn't haven't a mother, He didn't and doesn't need one because he has always been around. He's the one that created the world. His son Jesus did have a mother named Mary,
who by the way is died. If you want some real answers trying praying to Jesus,God's son or his
father (God). God and Jesus are the only ones the Bible says we are to pray to. We can only go to
God through his son Jesus.

well, quilling lady. if you don't like it don't read it. you pray to jesus if you like. i like pray to guadalupe, i think she understands my mothers heart more than your interpretation of god. mary was the mother of jesus, she is dead, so is jesus. what is your point? i am not going to discuss what the bible says because it was written by MEN interpreting the word of god. there is room in this life for many prayers and meditations and versions of god. if you don't think there is...don't drop by again. i'm not interested in your brand of religiousity. have a suer day and GUAD bless you!

that should say have a SUPER day and GUAD bless you (as in Guadalupe, Reina de Mexico, get it? no well, never mind, you probably weren't meant to.)

I was just asking a simple question. Yes the Bible was written by men but it was inspired
by God for those particular men.
By the way Jesus did die, but God
brought him back to life again, he
is now in Heaven living with his father. So just because you can
give your opinion of something does
that mean I can't give my opinion
on the subject. I wasn't not telling you that you are wrong, I was just giving my opinion. Which
if I'm not mistaken everyone is in titled to. Sorry if I hard a sore
spot. I just thought you should know that when Jesus died on the cross, he died to save us from our
sins. He just wants us to serve him because we love him not because we have to.
I'm finding out that it's alot
harder sometimes to do that then I thought it would be. I mean the way people treat me sometimes isn't easylike when someone is unkind to me. I find it really hard to be nice to that person even though I know deep down that, that is what I'm suppose to do. When I read what you wrote, I thought to myself that you sound like someone who likes to think about different things and try to
figure out what it all means, I thought that maybe we could have some discussions sometime on some different subjects if you are interest. If not I'll leave you alone. I don't have any subjects in mind right now that I want to discuss, but I'll try and think of something.

okay quilling lady, i do like to figure things out. religiousity is a difficult one though, there is no one brand, there is no one road...wait yes, there is a road...peace. i love the notion of jesus as an agent of peace, i love that mary was conceived without sin to give birth to jesus. i love that mary sat at the foot of the cross and wept for her earthly son but was a wise enough woman to realize he was so much more than her son. mary is such a lovely image for all people to meditate on that i find it hard when people skip over her as insignificant, catholics won't forget mary but christians often do and that is frustrating to me that the christians never gave mary her props in all my years learning about christ/jesus/god. interesting, i felt you were critcizing me for praying to guadalupe/mary which did make it very hard for me to be nice. i try to live and let live. we can think different and still have a dialogue, come back anytime.

Hi Elizabeth,
How's it going? did you hear
or read about the 8yr old little boy somewhere in the Mid-east that
was caught stealing some bread, it's really sad what his punishment was,
they ran over his arm with a car.
I saw the pictures. I'm glad it was
just pictures and not a video, if it would have been a video I think
I would have been sick to my stomach. As it was just seeing the
pictures made me almost sick. It
was just so sad. I know there are
cruel people out there but everytime I hear what people do to others I almost go into shock, I just can't believe some of the things that people do. I was just wondering what your thoughts were on the subject.

quilling lady, i did see the email. it was heartbreaking and then i decided to do a snopes search. here is what they have to say...http://www.snopes.com/photos/gruesome/crushboy.asp i hope this is the truth, that it was a con-man. either way you go, it sick to use an 8 year old boy to promote your own agenda, con-man using a boy to make money or trying to villify a religion. it makes my heart sad for the world when i see things like this. here's to better more concious living days.
